Welcome! As the organization works to restructure and restart, we have decided that it is worthwhile to continue to have a blog. With this first blog I just want to introduce you to who we are, what we will be doing, and what is currently going on.
The blog will be run by PALMCOP board members and will focus primarily on preservation. The purpose is to provide some interesting information to our members and others who are interested in preservation. This platform will also allow us to talk about some of our upcoming events as well as report on what went on during the events.
I want to officially welcome our wonderful new board members who are all very interested in restarting PALMCOP and making it a useful resource for our members. We are all here to work with our members to provide workshops and assistance where we can. If you are interested in becoming a member or have some questions about your region, contact information for your representative is available on the Board Members page.
As part of our restart we are jointly hosting a hands-on disaster recovery workshop with SCAA next week on the campus of Francis Marion University. This workshop is the start of what we hope to be a long line of useful and interesting events. Stayed tuned for upcoming news of our annual meeting.
